New Year 2023

A Special Christmas and New Year

This year many of you have been able to get home, travel to family and friends and really have that proper Christmas finally after the Pandemic of Covid-19.

Amidst the depressing news in the UK of strikes, extreme bad weather, freezing temperatures, the energy crisis, and lack of food on the shelves I feel proud of the determination of my fellow friends and family to have

that truly magical time the last couple of years have not allowed.

Here in Spain the bills have gradually increased, and we have noticed certain foods and drinks are creeping up however, we are blessed with sunshine during the days at around 18 to 19 degrees. This is a blessing as we can get out and about, sit outside comfortably, gain our vital vitamin D, and the sunshine makes everyone smile and generally feel better and blessed.

Staying Positive

We must stay in a positive frame of mind even though the news does not seem so. The simple things in life are usually the most enjoyable. Visit a neighbour and pop in to wish them a Happy New Year or even better take a nice cake to stop and have tea or coffee……time is free!

Get out walking or sit outside for at least 30 minutes a day and embrace the sunshine to make your mood and get your dose of vitamin D. If you are unable to walk unassisted then we are a call away! Our team will deliver all aspects of care and companionship from 1 hour to 24 hours a day.

5 ways the Sun Impacts Your Mental and Physical Health

We often hear about the risks of getting too much sun. While it’s true that sunburns and skin cancer are very real threats and that SPF is essential, there are also

great benefits of sun exposure. The sun is much more than its potential pitfalls and can do plenty of good things for your body — soaking up some sunlight can do wonders for your mind, bones, and more.

When you give your skin access to a healthy dose of the sun’s rays, you are likely to experience some tangible benefits immediately. Here are five ways the sun can affect your mental and physical health.

Simple things to keep us positive

Enjoy the winter sun, it’s a natural positive dose of goodness. So, yes let’s listen to the news and what’s happening in our crazy world but surely our own live’s in the big universe are more important!

Enjoy seeing friends and family, include some goodness in your diet, get outside, chat to friends and laugh, but most importantly if you need help ask for it.  0034 693555807 Contact us:
